Shockwave Therapy for foot pain in Geelong & Melbourne

Shock wave therapy (ESWT) is a progressive treatment option used to help with chronic conditions which affect all parts of the body. Shock wave therapy is a non-invasice ultrasound, that helps to stimulate the body’s natural healing factors to the painful affected area.

Radial shockwaves are high-energy acoustic waves passed on from a handpiece held against the skin and dissipated outwards into the underlying tissues.

What to expect from your Shockwave appointment:

The treatment sessions 10 -20 minutes in length, in which you can be given up to 3000 pulses during each treatment.

Many patients get pain reduction after the initial one to two sessions although most people require 4-6 sessions over a 1-2 month period for pain relief and to get back to their normal activity.
We are proud that there are no additional costs for shock wave therapy. It is used in podiatry to treat a number of conditions:

Plantar Fasciosis
Plantar Fasciitis
Achilles Tendinosis
Shin Pain
Morton’s Neuroma
Metatarsalgia and more!
