Meet Podiatrist Oliver Tate
Oliver Tate
Oliver graduated from La Trobe University in 2014 having completed his Masters of Podiatric Practice. He has since spent most of his time in private practice, where he enjoys helping people stay happy, healthy and active.
He is endorsed for scheduled medicines, allowing him to prescribe a range of medications, and administer corticosteroid injections of the foot and ankle. He also has a particular interest in exercise and strength-based rehabilitation, shockwave therapy, load management, orthoses therapy and footwear modifications, which he learnt as a ski boot fitter in Niseko, Japan.
Oliver keeps up to date on current research through his membership with the Sports and Exercise Podiatry Association, affiliate membership with the Australian College of Podiatric Surgeons and regularly attends professional development seminars. He is currently undertaking his Masters of Sports Medicine through the University of Melbourne and has ambitions of completing his surgical fellowship.
He is a keen sportsman, playing football for Geelong in the VFL and enjoys training for endurance events, having completed two marathons (Singapore and Melbourne). This year, he is setting his sights on a 70.3 Ironman in Busselton, WA. He also enjoys going to the Gym, Cycling, Snowboarding and playing Cricket, Golf and Tennis, anything to keep himself happy, healthy and active.
