Dry Needling

Our Podiatrists have done extra training in Dry Needling which is a treatment modality that can be used in conjunction with other treatment options for a range of different musculoskeletal conditions such as:

• Achilles Tendinopathy
• Peroneal Tendinopathy
• Tibialis Anterior Tendinopathy
Plantar Fasciitis

Why do you use Dry Needling?

The object of Dry Needling is to release taught or tight bands in the muscle called trigger points that may be causing local or referred pain.

This in turn allows the muscles to relax, improve function, reduce pain & decrease risk of musculoskeletal injury.

Why do you use Dry Needling?

This process is generally non-painful as the needles are very thin, a patient may feel a dull aching sensation as the tight bands of muscle contract at the needle site and then release.
The needles are left in situ for 5-10 minutes and is performed in an initial or review consult.

If you are experiencing musculoskeletal pain and tightness feel free to book an appointment online or call us on 1300 945 789 for further assessment and treatment

We look forward to keeping you active, healthy and happy!
